Edited by: Andreus Ixiris on 08/11/2008 16:17:49 Mixed Metaphor stands in full support of the Federal Navy's actions against this savage and unprovoked attack by the Kador agressors, and offers its congratulations on the utter rout it delivered to the Amarr forces. -----

Originally by: Avel Kereka Don't be too proud of yourselves, an operation with 4:1 odds has an objective other than victory.
I think the objective was plainly evident - kicking the Kador fleet out of Gallente space, where it had absolutely no business being. -----

Given the large number of camera-angle changes, I am almost certain that the reporters were somewhere very safe when this occured, and that the report was done with camera drones. -----

Originally by: Inara Subaka I have to ask the Pilots here if they honestly believe this "invasion" force was unintentionally small. We have seen the size of a small portion of the Imperial Navy during the coronation ceremonies, this was a "drop in the bucket". This was merely a test, nothing more, nothing less.
Kador with get a public reprimand (a slap on the wrist more than likely) while the Empire and the State has received valuable information.
*Inara starts to chuckle*
If this was a "great day" for the Federation's naval forces... Perhaps Sing Laison will be under State control sooner than I thought.
What utter tripe. Are you seriously suggesting that a demonstration of the ability to defend itself adeptly shows that the Federation is weak? I've seen impressive delusions in my time, but this one takes the cake. -----

Originally by: Gaven Lok'ri Consider this: A rather massive chunk of military hardware belonging to the Gallente Navy had to be redirected to attack the personal navy of a single Heir. In other words: The Gallente needed four to one odds to repel an invasion by a private army. Congratulations, your military might is astonishing.
And once again, Gaven Lok'ri demonstrates his inferior intelligence. The Titan was not neccessary. 4:1 odds were not neccessary. They were, however, useful in ensuring minimal Gallente casualties and maximum Amarr casualties. The more ships you have, the lower the chance that any single ship (and therefore its crew) will be destroyed.
I think the truth is that you're just sore that once again, the illusion of Amarrian supremacy has been given a painful slap in the face. -----

Originally by: Vikarion Well, keep in mind that the Gallente can't really invade the Empire anyway, since that would effectively turn the Federation into a Caldari military parade ground.
The Federation barely has the resources to deter the Caldari, much less invade the largest Empire and contend with the largest navy while protecting its assets at home.
Irony has a tendency to be pretty ironic. -----
